World Women Engineers Day Celebration 2023
Hosur Er. Perumal Manimekalai Polytechnic and College of Engineering jointly organized the *World Women Engineers Day* function. P. Malar, Secretary of PMC Tech Education Institute, inaugurated the ceremony.
For this event P. Kumar, chairman of PMC Tech Education Institute said, “Tamil society has been honouring women since the time of Sangha.
Feminist poets like Avvaiyar appeared about 3,000 years ago and played an important role in today’s civilized life.
Women are naturally gifted with the four virtues of generosity, charity and charity.”
Indian Institute of Engineers Hosur Local Head Engineer as Chief Guest, M. Aadi said, “Today women are working in large numbers in most of the industries. The productivity of women workers is commendable. The progress of women in our country is such that there are no sectors where women do not work.”
Salem Dr. Devi Gunasekaran attended as the guest of honor and spoke on the topic of “The Power of Women” “Thillaiyadi Valliammai is the woman who inspired the non-violent struggle of the father of the nation, Mahatma Gandhi. Velu Nachiyar is an example that women are not cowards, but women are the fertile ground of bravery. It was Nivedita who made Mahakavi Bharati understand the pride of women. It is a woman. Mother Teresa is the mother of billions of people because of her kindness. It is womanhood that has courage, purity, honesty and motherhood.
Pmc Tech Education Institution Director Prof. Sudhakaran, Engineering College Principal Dr. Chitra and Polytechnic College Principal Prof. Balasubramaniam delivered the welcome address.
In this ceremony *Manimekalai Sudaroli Award* was presented to the best female faculty and best students in the name of Manimekalai Ammaiyar, formar Trustee of Tech Education Institution
Also, Indian Institute of Engineers awards were also presented for the best women engineers. More than 800 students and professors participated in this function.
