First Aid Training Program conducted by Kaveripatnam Red Cross Society at PMC Tech Polytechnic College
Youth Red Cross Branch of Hosur PMC Tech Polytechnic College and Indian Red Cross Society Kaveripatnam Sub Branch conducted First Aid Training in college campus for sixteen days.
60 Youth Red Cross students participated and received training. Mr. P Kumar Chairman, presided over the program, Secretary Mrs. P. Malar lightning kuthu valakku, Director Mr. N. Sudhakaran delivered the introductory speech, Principal Mr. N. Balasubramaniam inaugurated it.
Indian Red Cross Society Secretary N. Senthilkumar participated as special guest in the program, Speaking first aid training helps you develop confidence and the necessary actions to save someone. These exercises will give you the courage to perform first aid in an emergency. He said.
First Aid Trainers Mr. Jagannathan, Mr. Mr. Senthilkumar and Mr. Venkatachalam taught the students with models the procedures to be followed in case of heart attack, how to rescue the object stuck in the throat, what to be followed in case of fracture of arm and leg, control of bleeding during accidents etc.
Besides, the students were taught about the methods to save life after snake bite and the treatment methods to be carried out in emergencies like seizures, asthma, electrical accidents. At the end of the training, a first aid test was conducted for the students and the results were sent to St. John Ambulance and Red Cross Society headquarters in New Delhi through Red Cross Tamil Nadu State Branch.
Moreover, Youth Red Cross coordinator Mr. Mohammad Abbas had organized the event. The ceremony was well done.
