- Apply knowledge of the basic science, mathematics and chemical engineering in the design and operations of chemical processes.

The IICHE Student Chapter inauguration was held on August 17, 2024. The inauguration of IICHE Student Chapter commenced with Tamizhthaai Vaalthu. Our Head of the Department Mrs.K.Renugadevi formally welcomed the Chief Guest, Director, HOD’S, Faculty members and students of Er.Perumal Manimekalai Polytechnic College. In her inaugural address, she mentioned about the significance and vision of IICHE Student Chapter and its objectives about bringing together a core group of students. The felicitation address was delivered by our beloved Principal Mr.N.Balasubramaniam He described about the function and importance of professional bodies and various bodies actively working in our college followed by student chapter importance and instruct to all members to participate in all events and get awards from IICHE .The felicitation address was delivered by our beloved Director Mr N. Sudhakaran. He described the importance of IICHE Student Chapter role in technical activities. Also he motivated everyone to actively participate in the workshop, seminars, webinars and any technical events organised under IICHE Student Chapter to get benefited. The Chief Guest, Mr. Sadish Kumar, Manager, Process engineering, Anthem Biosciences Pvt ltd Bangalore addressed the gathering. In his speech, he briefed about the difference between Generic medicines and CDMO Drugs followed by major manufacturer of human consumption drugs in India and various departments and their roles in industry with various opportunities for chemical engineers. He detailed about present scope in industry. He wished for the success of this student chapter and inspired the participants with his speech. In the end, the vote of thanks was offered to all for gracing the occasion by their presence. The program was concluded with the national anthem. The participants are from all the student chapter members and chemical engineering students including I year, II year and III year students.
